Poker - 2006 World Series

Harrah's Rio Casino in Las Vegas , Nevada will stage the world's largest poker tournament in the All-suite Hotel and Casino for the second year consecutively. The Satellites and live action will roll from June 25, 2006 and the $10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'em World Championship Event will commence from July 28, 2006. All in all, the 2006 World Series Poker will consist of 44 separate events where players will vie for the coveted gold bracelets. The events will run till August 10, 2006.

It is reported that Harrah's is going to host 8000 players each paying $10000 for a wager of a multi-million dollar prize. Day 1 will be split over a period of four days with each day managing 2000 players. It is no doubt going to be a busy day for poker players looking forward for a lot of challenge and excitement.
